John Balquist is from Oakland, CA. He graduated with a degree in Creative Writing from UC-Santa Cruz and has completed stints with Stanford’s OWC Novel Program, the Napa Writer’s Conference, and The Northern CA Writer’s Retreat. His fiction seeks to find the good in all of his messy characters.
